This Privacy Policy explains how ToolsDiary ("ToolsDiary," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use https://toolsdiary.com and related pages.
1. Browser-local tools
Many ToolsDiary tools process text, colors, JSON, supported images and supported videos directly in your web browser. For those tools, the content you enter or select is not sent to ToolsDiary for the tool operation. The page itself is still loaded from our web server, so ordinary website and analytics information may be processed as described below.
2. Server-assisted tools
Some tasks cannot work only inside the browser. For example, Extract Images from URL and YouTube Thumbnail Downloader must send the public URL you enter to the ToolsDiary server so the server can request publicly accessible webpage or thumbnail information. These tools do not require your account password. Temporary request data may be processed while completing the lookup, and normal server logs may record technical request information.
3. Server and security logs
Our hosting and security systems may automatically process technical information such as IP address, requested URL, date and time, user-agent information, response status and security events. This information is used for website delivery, troubleshooting, abuse prevention and security. Retention depends in part on hosting and security-provider settings.
4. Contact messages
If you contact us, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, subject and message. We use it to respond, investigate reported issues and maintain a reasonable record of correspondence. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens or other secrets through the contact form.
5. Google Analytics
ToolsDiary currently uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, such as page visits, device or browser information and general engagement. Google Analytics may process identifiers, IP-related information and cookies or similar technologies according to Google's configuration and policies. We use this information to measure site performance and improve tools and content; we do not ask visitors to put passwords or other secrets into analytics fields.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
ToolsDiary does not require an account for its public tools. Essential cookies or similar storage may be used when necessary for security or basic site operation. Google Analytics and future advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies. Where applicable law or Google policy requires consent or other privacy choices, ToolsDiary will use the appropriate consent controls.
7. Advertising
Google AdSense advertising is not currently enabled. If AdSense or another advertising service is enabled, advertising providers may process device identifiers, cookie information, IP address, page context and interaction information according to their policies and the choices available to you. Before serving Google ads where a Google-certified Consent Management Platform is required, ToolsDiary will configure the required consent solution.
8. Third-party services and external links
Some server-assisted tools may contact public websites or third-party metadata services to complete the task you request. ToolsDiary may also link to third-party websites. Those services and websites operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Data retention
Browser-local tool inputs are not retained by ToolsDiary because they are not submitted to us for processing. Public URLs submitted to server-assisted tools are processed to complete the requested lookup and are not used to create user profiles. Contact messages are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records and address legal or security needs. Technical and analytics data is retained according to operational settings and the applicable provider settings.
10. Security
We use HTTPS and reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information under our control. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
ToolsDiary is a general-audience utility website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly create profiles of children through the public tools.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal information we hold about you, including access, correction, deletion or objection rights. Because many tool inputs are processed locally, we generally do not possess those inputs. For information you submitted directly to us, contact contact@toolsdiary.com.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as ToolsDiary adds or removes services, changes analytics or advertising configuration, changes service providers, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date identifies the current version.
