What this tool does
Create a short motion-graphics video from one idea without uploading your prompt, scene text or media to ToolsDiary. The free local mode builds an editable storyboard in your browser, lets you add a visual to each scene, burns scene captions into the video, and exports the finished timeline with browser-supported video encoding.
This tool is intentionally transparent about the word AI. The free version does not call a remote generative model and does not invent photorealistic footage. Instead, it uses a smart on-device storyboard generator, editable scene templates and animated browser graphics to turn an idea into a usable draft video. You stay in control of every scene, and you can add your own images and an optional narration or music track before export.
Useful for
- Turn a topic, product idea or short brief into a vertical short-form video draft.
- Create editable explainer, listicle, promotional or story-style scene sequences.
- Build caption-led videos for Reels, Shorts and other social platforms without installing a desktop editor.
- Combine your own scene images with a local soundtrack or recorded narration and export one video file.
How to use it
- Enter one clear video idea and choose the format, aspect ratio, target duration and visual style.
- Generate a smart local storyboard, then edit the title, caption and duration of any scene.
- Optionally add an image to individual scenes and upload a music or narration file for the final video.
- Preview the storyboard in the browser and adjust any scene that feels too long, too vague or visually weak.
- Create the video, keep the tab open while it renders in real time, then preview and download the result.
Practical tips
- A specific idea produces a better storyboard than a one-word prompt. Include the audience, goal or angle when it matters.
- Keep scene titles short. The caption can carry supporting detail while the title provides the visual hook.
- Use your own images when the subject needs factual or brand-specific visuals; the free local mode does not generate new photos.
- For voiceover, upload a narration recording as the audio track. Browser text-to-speech voices are not baked into the exported file in this version.
- Exporting is real-time browser work. A 30-second video usually needs about 30 seconds plus finalization time.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool send my idea to an AI service?
No. The free local mode does not call a remote generative AI API. The prompt, storyboard text, uploaded images and generated video stay in your browser.
Is the storyboard really AI-generated?
It is AI-assisted in the broad product sense, but this free mode uses a local smart template engine rather than a remote large language model. The interface labels this clearly so you know what is and is not happening.
Can it generate realistic video footage from text?
No. This version creates animated scene-based videos from text, colors and your own optional images. Photorealistic text-to-video generation requires a separate generative model or external service.
Can I add voiceover?
Yes. You can upload an audio file such as a recorded narration or music track and include it in the exported video when your browser supports local media mixing.
What format will I get?
The tool detects formats your browser can encode, commonly MP4 or WebM, and shows the actual output format before download.
